We now have a price and a release month for Microsoft's (NASDAQ: MSFT  ) Xbox One.

On the eve of E3, the software giant let gamers know that the next-generation console will be available come November at a $499 price point.

We knew that it wasn't going to be cheap given the impressive specs that Microsoft unveiled last month, but since Sony (NYSE: SNE  ) followed up last night by pricing its upcoming PS4 at just $399 it's going to create some unwelcome comparisons.

Sure, there's more to a console than pricing.

Nintendo (NASDAQOTH: NTDOY  ) thought it would get a jump on the competition by rolling out the Wii U starting at just $299 this past holiday season.

It flopped. Nintendo had to scale back its initial unit sales projections, and the future for Nintendo's ambitious dual-screen system doesn't seem so bright as E3 aims to get die-hard gamers excited about upcoming games and gear.

There's nothing worse than a slow start when years separate console generations, and now Nintendo's paying the price. Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA  ) wowed the gaming community by announcing 11 upcoming games last night. They'll be made for the Xbox One. They'll be made for the PS4. There were no announced titles for the Wii U.

In January, Logitech announced ��etter than expected��sales of $628 million for the third quarter, up 2 percent on a year-over-year basis. Cash flow was way up, and earnings per share of $0.30 was up compared to a loss one year earlier.

    The retail numbers tell the real story, with the company�� combined retail growth categories up 62 percent, year-over-year. Tablet peripheral salaries were up 95 percent; audio wearables and wireless sales were up 79 percent; and video gaming sales rose by 25 percent in the same time period.

    Those are numbers that are manna from heaven for a company that really needed them, after a 30-month period of mediocre performance from 2010-to-mid-2013 that saw LOGU�� share price fall stagnate in the $8-$10-per-share range.

Enterprise Storage Products

Enterprise consists of hard drives for traditional enterprise and nearline storage applications, as well as solid-state drives for embedded applications. Its hard drive enterprise unit shipments were 10 million, for fiscal 2011. Its enterprise storage products include WD S25 hard drive, WD VelociRaptor, WD RE and WD SiliconDrive. WD S25 hard drive is designed for mission-critical enterprise server and storage applications, such as data centers and data arrays. WD VelociRaptor hard drive is designed for enterprise server and storage applications. This hard drive is also used in the high-end desktop PC market for applications including gaming, servers and advanced computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems. WD RE family of hard drives is designed for nearline storage enterprise applications. WD SiliconDrive family of solid-state drives features fast read/write speeds in high capacities and is designed for embedded system OEM applications.

The Company competes with Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, Intel Corporation, Micron Technology, Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Seagate Technology, STEC, Inc. and Toshiba Corporation.
